Check out the 7th Annual Blackboard Jungle Symposium!

The Blackboard Jungle 7 Symposium is designed to support UVM faculty, staff, and all others seeking to develop skills, knowledge, and personal characteristics that support effective and appropriate interactions among different identities across both global and domestic differences.

What: Kickoff Keynote
When: Monday, March 24, 2014 | 4:00PM - 5:30PM
Where: Ira Allen Chapel
**Free and open to the public

The 2014 keynote kickoff speaker will be Charlayne Hunter-Gault, CNN’s former Johannesburg bureau chief and correspondent and former national correspondent for PBS for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.  She is also the author of In My Place, a memoir of her role in the civil rights movement as the first black woman admitted to the University of Georgia.

*Registration & Fee Required ($20 for UVM employees and $30 for non-UVM employees)

Breakfast Keynote Speaker: Dorothy Roberts, Professor of Civil Rights at the University of Pennsylvania

Luncheon Keynote Speaker: Amer Ahmed, Associate Director of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
